“I’m Andy Hopkinson. When anyone asks, I say ‘I’ve always been a photographer, not always full time’.
I found my passion in photography as a child, had set up my own darkroom by the age of 11 and shot my first wedding professionally by 14. Working with a local semi-professional photographer through my teens, we clocked up literally hundreds of weddings until my time at university. Working in photographic retail, amongst other things, when I returned, the part-time photography side-line continued.
As years passed I’ve been a florist with my own shop, a tutor or floristry at a local college, then, a full-time photographer, progressing to an amazing converted barn wedding and portrait studio. 10 years of amazing destination weddings across the globe, fabulous portrait clients, dozens of professional industry awards and it was time for a break.
Commercial energy brokerage came calling and the photography became a hobby for a few years. But the calling came back with earnest.
Energy business running in the background, full time, professional creativity was back, now with video and drone capability.
I’ve worked with national and international brands and retailers, manufacturers, food producers, service providers, coaches, experts of all kinds; locally, nationally and internationally. I’ve worked with art and creative directors, designers and marketing departments of al sizes. I love working with fellow business owners and CEO’s, sharing the passion they have for their businesses and helping them tell their story with my passion – photography and video for their marketing.
